I'll be at the Podcast and New Media Expo in California. This three day event is all about podcasting and the such. I'll be teachign a class called – Field Production Strategies for Video Podcasting. If you plan to attend, I'd love to catch up. The event will be held September 28-30 in Ontario, California (not far from LA). Hope to see some of you there.

Looking for some frequent (and free) training on Adobe and Apple software? Then you should check out Peachpit’s Author Tips series. With three or four new episodes per week. you won’t want to miss this valuable training series. The episode is completely free (but you should subscribe so you get all the episodes). The series features several of Peachpit Press’s authors.

This series showcases the latest technology as well as interviews with tech gurus. It's hosted by Gary Paul who works at Peachpit Press. The series offers a lot of great things to discover. Quark to InDesign Conversion

Fortunately, money could solve this problem (I know... that's often the case). A useful recommendation from an Adobe colleague pointed me towards Markzware and Q2ID for the conversion.
The short review... it works! Spending $199 to save having to rekey 250 pages is worth it in my book. Currently it only works with CS1 or CS2.... but you can always convert, then promote the document forward.
101 Photoshop Tips (Free)

Thanks to Scott Kelby for pointing this one out.
Gary Logsdon has posted 101 Photoshop tips that work with most versions of Photoshop. There are a lot of useful ones here that save time and effort. What's also nice is the ability to download the tips as a PDF file to save to your computer for the future.
What's not to like about free tips?
